Henry Ward Beecher said, “We should not judge people by their peak of excellence, but by the distance they have traveled from the point where they started,” and The Ohlhoff House is honoring Mark Fratkin for just that.

The Ohlhoff House is a San Francisco recovery center that has supported people with addictions for more than six decades. Mark Fratkin has dedicated 25 years to helping others at The Ohlhoff House as a recovery program facilitator. Following his own journey to sobriety, Mark is committed to being of service to men in the recovery community.

“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to give this award to Mark Fratkin, who has given of himself and his time every single week for the last 25 years,” said Arlene Stanich-Prince, Executive Director of Ohlhoff House. “He has helped countless men in their battles with issues of recovery and he brings his passion into our organization. And for that he deserves to be recognized.”

In support of Mark’s dedication to this meaningful pursuit, President and Principal at The Greenspan Co./Adjusters International Gordon Scott announced that the company will be making an annual donation to The Ohlhoff House.

Mark shared, “I’ve been given the chance to rebuild my life and my career, my family and my friendships because of the help I received at Ohlhoff House, which is why I will stop at nothing to help the organization help others. I am grateful and hope my life can be an inspiration for others who need a second chance.”
